TV Station's Web Site Got It All Wrong

I looked into the story of a chemical leak in Petrolia, Pennsylvania, which is not far from where I grew up. I thought there might be something to blog about because 2,500 people were evacuated from their homes. What I found stopped me from seeking information about how Indspec Chemical Corporation handled an oleum spill and started me looking at media coverage of the spill.

Here is a picture I found at a WNCT Eyewitness News 9 (North Carolina) web site (http://www.wnct.com/nct/news/national/article/officials_seek_cause_of_western_pa_chemical_leak/20923/)

A nuclear plant? And they claim to be "Eyewitness" News? This is just plain sloppy, lazy reporting. Despite a comment posted ("That’s pretty lame and irresponsible of WNCT...") on the news website and negative mention and comments in a blog (http://www.dvorak.org/blog/?p=27673), the good people at Eyewitness News still have the nuke picture up eight days and counting after it was first posted. WNCT, your viewers deserve better.
