I vowed to keep you informed about the personal crisis facing Richie Farmer, Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner and lieutenant governor candidate. "Kentucky Democratic Party Chairman Dan Logsdon on Monday called on state Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer to repay the state the cost of his stay in a Lexington hotel suite during the high school boys' Sweet 16 basketball tournament last month.
"In a news release, Logsdon asked that Farmer re-pay the state $1,576 – the tab at the Hilton Lexington Downtown for Farmer's four-night stay in a suite that cost $359 per night. The bill also included taxes and $40 for valet parking."
“'At a time when Kentucky families are tightening their belts, it's inexcusable that Richie Farmer spent $359 a night on a hotel just a few miles from his house...,' Logsdon said.
